I dont think profit should always be the determining factor in producing movie content because when you are trying to make something worth watching and something people will want to buy merch for. When companies just make movies to make money they usually dont spend much time putting thought and emotion into the story because they only have money on their minds.
so no profits should just be the rewards for making a good movie that makes you think and relate to the characters. there isnt a lot of good movies being produced anymore so when there is it was usually created for entertainment rather then profits.
