Do you envision books ever again having the power to move the nation as they did in Revolutionary or antislavery times? Why or why not?

I  think books can't move the nation like they did in the Revolutionary times. I think all the very popular books are mainly stories and couldn't move the nation besides getting a lot of fans. I think this because most people would look at it as just a story and not have it move the nation.

  1. I believe you're right on this: Books don't have the same impact on culture then they did way back when. I think this is because books are now free to everyone in the US when at that time the rich were the ones who own books. That said, there are people in poor countries who still can't enjoy a good book would have a huge impact if they could get their hands on one.

  4. I feel if someone made a very logical book about running a country or a new system.
